Japan Expo International AMV Contest 2009
Get ready once more for the the Japan Expo International AMV Contest 2009 organized by AMV-France Association and Japan Expo,the biggest European Japanime Convention taking place in Paris from July 2nd to July 5th 2009.
Each year, AMV makers from all around the world compete against each others for the first place. In 2008, we reached a new record-breaking number of submissions with more than 200 AMV sent from everywhere on the planet. So hang on to your timelines once again, this contest is going to be tough!
This year, the jury will be composed of members from the AMV-France Association and guest judges.
The contest is divided into two categories :the local ranking (French videos only), and the international ranking.
The public price, which was very popular during every last edition, will once again enable Japan Expo visitors to choose their favorite AMV from the 15 finalists: A whole hour worth of AMV on giant screen to be judged by popular vote!
Are you just good enough?
Practical information
Constraints : The Music Videos must have been created from anime (Japanese cartoons)or manga sources. Use of pornographic or extremely violent scenes will disqualify your video. Such decision is final.
Deadline : The contest ends on June 1st, 2009 at 11:59pm UTC+2 (local summer time). The videos must have been uploaded by this date.
Rules : We invite you to read CAREFULLY the contest rules available in English.Uplaod : Your video MUST be uploaded during the submission process. Your video can be uploaded through the upload page accessible on the contest web page, or through the FTP access (see the submission page). CD or DVD sent by postal mail will NOT be considered.
Advices : In order to get as much consideration as possible, please follow these advices:
- Avoid at all costs long intros and outros.
- Remove any sub-titles and logos (the DivX logo is a common mistake). Obvious fan-subbed videos are banned.
- Use acceptable length: between 1"3O and 6"00 maximum (without intro / outro).
- Prefer an exclusive AMV, never seen before.
