Japan Expo International AMV Contest 2008

Get ready! Once again, Japan Expo and AMV France Association organize the Japan Expo 2008 International AMV Contest during the biggest European Japanim Convention that will take place at the beginning of July 2008. Once a year, AMV makers from all around the world compete against each others for the first prize, which will be offered during Japan Expo 2008.
Hang on to your computers, the contest is going to be tough!

This year, the jury will be composed of 3 members from the AMV France association and 2 guest judges :

  • First, Vlad G.Pohnert : pioneer in the AMV world, and manager of the 2 biggest AMV contests for many years, his work can be seen in both professional world and japanim conventions!
  • And Vivien Lejeune : professional, editor in chief of "Cinefonia" and journalist for "L'Ecran Fantastique" and "Les Années Laser" magazines, this music and cinema fan will give us his specialist point of view on this new edition.

The contest is divided into two categories: the local ranking (French videos only), and the international ranking.

The public price, which was very popular during the last edition, will once again enable the Japan Expo visitors to choose their favorite AMV: A whole hour worth of AMV on giant screen to be judged by popular vote.

Are you just good enough?
